Xbox One paypal problem

When I try to buy games or add-ons via PayPal on Xbox Live I always get "authorization failed" with error code: PBR9012, can anyone help? Could it be because my credit card isn't yet verified on my Paypal account? I can buy other things however(not
on xbox).

I've had this problem a few times.

One alternative is to link a paypal account to xbox then link your credit card to the paypal account.

I've got a similar problem that im wondering about with my PayPal. I have purchased several things on my Xbox one with PayPal in the past with no problems at all. Normally after I made these purchases I took my PayPal off my Xbox. Well now im wanting to
add my PayPal account back on my Xbox One account. But when I put my email and password in and hit next it says this. "You might need to add a credit card. Or, choose a different payment option for this purchase" Thing is im not purchasing anything im just
trying to add my PayPal account. I think it is a glitch with PayPal because I and 3 other friends are having the same problem.

 

Yes that will be the reason, the card your using will need to be verified so that it can be authorised to use with your account.

thank you for your reply, so I waited until my credit card could be verified and just an hour ago I verified it but it still gives my 'authorization failed'. Is there a 24 hour lock before changes go into place on the marketplace?

I would imagine there will be short time period for it to be verified. 24 hours would be the maximum time. I would suggest waiting a short while then sign out of your xbox account and re-sign in again. Hopefully this will give you a fix.

 

I am having the same problem using paypal. I have no issues using paypal elsewhere, only xbox one and its only occurred in the last 3 days.

 

Ive been having the same issues but they're hit and miss. I can purchase content one day then the next day or even a few minutes later I'm getting the pbr9012 error. My account is up to date plus I have a bank account and credit card associated with paypal.

 

I called to Xbox Support and they say it's Paypals's fault, I called to Paypal and they say that it is my bank and then my bank says it's Paypal. I think it's the Xbox Store because my Paypal works fine with everything else I buy
