Xbox One Party Chat

So i got a ban yesterday for inappropriate messages and chat and what not and my ban was lifted today. I can join parties and play all games and hear people but for some reason they cannot hear me. I can send messages as before i could not. I can also
receive them. i called xbox support and they put me through all these steps but none of these work. Finally they said i had to hard reset my xbox and erase everything or wait 24 hours and see what happens. i feel like all the stuff i went through was pointless
and were steps i already took. You guys or anyone have any help or input? anything would be appreciated thanks

Party Chat Not Working

Hey all,

Just signed up as I got my xbox one today. Loving it so far.

However has anyone figured Party chat yet? I can start a party and join the chat, but no one else in that party can.

additionally if i join a party I'm unable to join the chat and get the message "Party chat cannot be started at this time"

Any Ideas?

have you check your privacy and online safety to make sure your chat is enabled to talk with friends? if you have already done that, you might want to check your NAT type in the network. What about the update for the controller? If all else fails, it might
seem you will need to set up a repair for the headset itself.

You can do that 1 of 2 ways.

1) Go to myservice.xbox.com and set up a repair for your headset

2) call 1-800-4Myxbox and set up a repair with an agent.

yeah i went through all those steps and i have an open nat type. It says im talking in party chat but on my friends it says im not and they cannot hear me. I can hear them perfectly. This also works in game chat in many seperate games. Its not my mic
because its the same way with my connect. My controller is updated as well.

 

Have you tried restoring the console to factory defaults? If the problem is on both your Head piece, and the Kinect, sounds like corrupted data on the console.

Yes it will, but once you download your profile and your game again, all the saved data will still be there. Everything is saved online, so you don't have to worry about losing your saved progress

 

I signed in another gamertag and everything worked fine. It has to be something with my ban but i am unbanned as now i can do everything else... Any suggestions?

How long was your ban? Cause I banned and it's been almost a week for me and they haven't lifted mine.

 

Yeah I have been banned for inappropriate messages somehow and I would like this ban to be lifted so I can help people on gta with heists and actually speak to my friends.
