    Xbox One Party Chat Problems


    My friends and I have been having major problems with the Xbox Live Party Chat services. This has been going on for a long while and getting worse recently. We either can't connect to the party, or we are disconnected from it and constantly have to reconnect.
    I have checked the Xbox Live requirements and as far as I know, I meet all of them. I currently have an NAT type of Open, Download Speed of 335.19 Mbps, Upload Speed of 251.90 Mbps, 0% packet loss, 1480 MTU, and 69 ms latency. I am connected to my university's
    internet connection and have been assured that they do not block any ports or restrict any incoming or outgoing data. I have tried hard restarting my Xbox which clears the problem up for a short while, and resetting my router, which also helps for a short
    while. Any other chat service that I use over the internet here works, including Skype and Teamspeak. Does anyone know of anything that could fix this?

    You too huh? EVERY SINGLE PERSON on my friends list tell me they also have party chat problems. I also have these party chat problems. Most people I talk to in online games tell me they also have these party chat problems.

    The console is over a year old now and WE STILL HAVE THESE PARTY CHAT PROBLEMS!

    I'm getting this exact issue. Why does the XBOX One Party chat suffer so many issues? It's amazing how on the XBOX 360 there wasn't this many problems with the party chat. Now with the XBOX One it's been nothing but issues with the Party chat since the
    system was released.

    My NAT = OPEN

    0X89231806 your network settings are blocking party chat.

    I'm also tired of Microsoft constantly suggesting to do a hard reset on the system. It seems to be their answer to everything. Have a problem? Hard reset your system.

    Hello!

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. There is an audio setting called chat mixer which balances the party chat volume with the rest of the volume on the console. The article entitled

    Troubleshoot Audio Problems in Parties on Xbox One     explains how to adjust the chat mixer. Be sure to let us know the results!
