xbox one party chat. not happening with Microsoft being morons and not paying attention.

they are public addresses anyway, you can get an ip without special tools. it's just there are those daft morons that like to play god and do something stupid.

microsoft could mitigate the issue by stepping up the transfer of party chat to server based then all ip addresses would be masked, but that does not help when you play P2P online games which there are a lot of them still. having dedicated servers for all games would be the only solution and that i'm afraid won't happen as smaller game companies cannot afford to pay for the servers, as most if not all third party publishers and devs pay for the servers for their games be it dedicated or P2P.

You dont pay to be in a party chats you pay yo access multiplayer modes

You csn private chat a person all you want but party chats are also for inviting people into games you do know thst right?

No console service allows anyone to freely access party chats. Without being s subscriber

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. There is an audio setting called chat mixer which balances the party chat volume with the rest of the volume on the console. The article entitled

Troubleshoot Audio Problems in Parties on Xbox One explains how to adjust the chat mixer. Be sure to let us know the results!

[/quote]Most of this is either Opinion or just plain assumptions with no basis. When I start a Party it is to talk with my Friends and my Friends only. If a User does not "pay attention" to such a simple thing as Party Chat being
Launched in Private, maybe an Online Game/s all together are too complicated?

So again, you have no way of knowing "why" "most" people start a Party, that's all assumption on your behalf and nothing more. I bet if the Party Chat was set at Default to Public, I for one would complain there should be at least an Option to Launch it at
the Users End discretion (Public/ Private).

But this all goes back to what now, 3 years? You're still "blaming" Party Chat when it was the d-bags that took over Game Chat. You never will admit it was those Players, will you? If it wasn't for them (the d-bags) I would be willing to "assume" many more
people would go back to Game Chat.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Is this happening on Xbox 360 or Xbox one? From the sound of it, you may be having a NAT issue. If your NAT type is not set to "open" then you will have trouble with matchmaking and with party chat. Does this
happen with any other Game?

Also, from when I used to play, I remember there being a setting in-game that sets you up in private lobbies automatically. You may want to double check your in-game settings as well.
