Xbox one "party chat issues"!!!

Has anyone else had any problems with party chat?

Im aware that an "update" is imminent for party chat from MS,well it cant come soon enough.

As a 7 year user of the 360 i have got used to party chat "just working"all of the time,so when you are connected in a party with someone on the xbox one but you cant hear them its just a tad frustrating.

Do a good job microsoft because without the chat feature working properly xbox one land is a lonely place!!!!

oh and while you are there could you please sort skype out,i mean how do you know someones "skype name"?How do you find out your fellow gamers skype name?

MS have introduced the xbox one features carefully by adding things in a slow deliberate way which is fair enough,but i get the feeling that not enough rigorous testing has been done on all the features,party chat and skype are just a disaster at the minute.

oh just one final thing............WHY DOESNT MY £600 MACHINE TELL ME WHEN MY FRIENDS COME ONLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

XBOX ONE X I hear some popping,crackling,static noise in the games.

Hi. It's not depend on the headphone. I hear that on tv as well , I hear that in offline game too. Party chat is oke, the games sounds the problem.

I swear, Party Chat killed the XBL community. Everyone is always in Party Chat with their IRL friends.

 

After the release of the 360,there was no way i was gonna touch the xbone with a barge pole..

 

It's amazing how many "Veteran Gamers" weren't smart enough to figure out Party Chat.

Start or Join a party.

Then (the crucial step in the process that most people overlook is) TURN PARTY CHAT ON.

Now people in your party can hear you.

I know what you're thinking. "Why do I have to turn Party Chat on? That's stupid! Why couldn't it just work exactly the same as the XBox 360"?

Well... do you remember when everyone was crying for Microsoft to support Hardcore Gamers?

Well Hardcore Gamers play the game to win.

So your party joins a Team Based game where it's probably going to be in your best interest to communicate with the other players?

You simply Snap to Party Chat and turn Party Chat off. Now you are in GAME CHAT and are able to chat with everyone in the game... but you're still in your own party.

And if you don't wanna talk to your Team in the game? Then stay in Party Chat.

Party chat is actually better designed than most people think and it's frightening how many people couldn't figure out that they had to turn it on.

Finally, for Skype... put in your friend's gamertag and you're there.

If they don't have a ONE then put in their email address.

Az, regarding Party Chat - in the next update they will actually change default behaviour so that when you start the party, chat is already on. That should be coming on or just after 4th March. For now, though, it works as you described.

 

I dont use party chat to be honest because my friends are still using 360,s but it would be nice to able to chat to them via the xbox one

 

Party chat is indeed awkward at best at the moment... roll on March update!
