Xbox One Party chat HELP

As of today whenever I join a party I get a message at the top of the party saying 'We are unable to find a microphone for these people' and I can't hear anything. Can someone please help

Astro Headsets A30/A40/A50 , the New Headset Adapter with Surround Sound

Thought I'd post another work around for this issue that I've just come across..

For this you will need to have a Windows 10 PC or Laptop nearby but with this setup you won't need a chat cable from the controller to the MixAmp which I felt was a good positive.

Basically I've connected the MixAmp Pro to my Windows 10 PC via the USB power supply, then connected the optical cable to the Xbox One as usual, on the PC launch the Xbox App and then invite friends to Party via the App (invites go to their Xbox) once in the party you can do everything as normal having Dolby Digital sound from your Xbox One to the headset as well as the Xbox Party Chat with no cable to the controller.

Obviously using this method on the PC you could also use Discord/Skype chat if you prefer but if your friends just use Xbox Party Chat then this is a solution I hadn't previously thought of.

Xbox One Party Chat Disconnecting

Hi Ive been having issues with Xbox One Party Chat for the past few weeks where me and my friends will disconnect from party chat or cant even join each other without it saying disconnected could any one at Xbox Look into this or Help Thanks...

Hi,

This indicator is now suggesting that specific members do not have a mic. This means whatever accessory they are using (or not using) will not permit those members from speaking until they plug in their headset.

Regarding you not being able to hear anything...

-If this message applies to you "We are unable to find a microphone" then this would mean you are using a accessory that doesn't have supported mic or that you should go into settings....devices...and while your headset is plugged into the controller, perform
a controller update.

-Another idea if no updates are needed and if you are using any device that previously was supported....perform a hard reset. (Hold the xbox logo on the console until the system shuts off) Turn the system back on, and start a party by yourself and check
if you see this error while in a party alone.

Please comment back if those suggestions do not resolve the issue for yourself. As far as others, they would either need to use a mic or follow similar steps.

One thing that worked for me was if you start an xbox party and then you join a fortnite party and go to the voice chat tab it should give you an option to switch to game chat. Also with the new season I can hear people party chats while in a xbox party

Hi,

Firstly I'd check the support page for any key steps you might have missed:

Troubleshoot audio problems in parties on Xbox One

Then test Party chat via something else e.g. the Xbox app on Android/iOS- Both try this to see separately and then together. This might help identify, which person is having the issue.

Have you also tried Party chat with other people? With other people starting the chat? and in a game chat lobby?
