    Xbox one party chat dies at 2:00 am Pacific, can't hear people in party.


    around 2am Pacific every night for for the past three nights, it will randomly cut out then only certain people can hear each other. All of us have open NAT types. This is really annoying because it is the only time we can play together. Please help.

    The patch made things worse

    Well me and my group continue to have multiple party chat issues and party invite issues (can't hear people in party chat can't join etc)

    I can hear game audio but can't hear people talk in Party chat they can hear me the only thing I can't hear is the party chat in game everything is fine

    Sorry to hear about the network performance. Let's check a few things to narrow this down. Does the issue persist when using both wired or wireless network connections on the console?



    Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and please provide the following information.

    • Download Speed
    • Upload Speed
    • Latency
    • Packet Loss %
    • Wireless Strength (if applicable)
    • Modem Manufacturer
    • Router Manufacturer (if being used) as well as the model number
    • NAT Type (When the issue happens)

    Let's then have you try to do a Network power cycle, to see if it helps.

    • Start by powering off and unplugging your Modem, Router (if applicable) and Xbox One console.
    • After 60 seconds of the devices being powered off, turn on the power to your Modem and then the Router (if applicable).
    • Wait another 60 seconds for the network equipment to turn on and gain the proper signals from your ISP. Then turn on your Xbox One console.

    That information will help us determine the next best steps. Thanks!

    Yeah, that's because even if you HOST the party chat you have to TURN party chat ON or nobody hears you.



    It's especially catching out those people who have been hammering their XBox ONE's since release and are often playing on very little sleep.
