Xbox One Party Chat and Games Sessions Not Working

I can not connect to my friends xbox live party chat or game. Both our NAT types are always open. I am on a wired network, she is not. But we both have the same internet provider. Every time i do try and join a party i end up kicking someone else from
the party, then disconnecting myself. I switched from wireless to wired thinking that would work, because i read that it is better to use a wired network. The wired connection did help to not lag in the game anymore, but i feel like it made trying to join
a party worse. I honestly don't know what else to do. Please help!

Xbox chat. Party and game chat not working

I can start a party but not have anyone able to turn on party chat. In game cant hear or speak through chat on headset even after disabling kinect chat. Then tried just kinect chat with no headphones still no luck. Is there a work around or fix for this?

Another issue you're going to run into is how the router manages the network traffic.

Try and power cycle your network by unplugging the power to your modem/router setup for about 60 seconds.

On your Xbox go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

After you're back up and running, start a party and just invite her and see what happens. If there is a disconnect. Then leave the party and start a new one and invite someone else.

Usually this comes down to a router/connection quality issue.

So, this did not work. What I ended up doing was, taking my Xbox to her house and connecting on to her WiFi and starting a party to see if we could connect and we did. I was also able to join her game. Confirming this is indeed an internet issue, and that
I need to connect my internet provider. But thank you for your help.

So, this did not work. What I ended up doing was, taking my Xbox to her house and connecting on to her WiFi and starting a party to see if we could connect and we did. I was also able to join her game. Confirming this is indeed an internet issue, and that

I'm hoping this helps you next time. I did this back around November and I had to start a Party session inside my Xbox and then I had to set the setting to Game Chat inside the Party options, then I was able to hear the person on the PlayStation 4, but
it would not work without the Party up and it being set to Game Chat. Best of luck and happy gaming now.

Managed to track down the old thread, I haven't used these two myself but apparently they will work as well:

When the notification toast is on screen, currently the commands are:

"Xbox, Accept and play" - to join the party and game session

"Xbox, Accept chat" - to join only the party chat.

If anyone gives them a try let us know how they work out, I'm just in the habit of saying "Xbox, launch" and I can't break it
