Xbox One pad update and crash!

No nothing happens! Its definitly dead!!! And of course not in warranty anymore and this just because I wanted to update the firmware! Yeah, thanks XBox........................

I'm sorry to hear that solution didn't work for you. I understand it can be frustrating when your controller stops working while trying to update it.

Your controller was more than likely "bricked" when the firmware update failed and the solution I provided has been well known to help with this situation, but as I mentioned before it's usually done on the Xbox One console and I haven't seen it performed
on the PC. You may need to borrow someone's Xbox One to get your controller working again by doing the same steps listed in this thread.

There is a known solution out there when a controller get's bricked due to a failed update. Although it's meant to be done on an Xbox One console, I'm sure this solution will still work if connected to a PC.

Make sure there are no batteries in the controller and plug the controller in via USB. Hold down the controller's Xbox and menu buttons for 5-10 seconds at the same time and then release. If the controller does not turn on, just keep trying until it does.
Then make sure the controller is up to date. Some people have said that just taking the batteries out and leaving it plugged in for a while can force the update in the background and the controller should then be able to turn on after some time of being plugged
in without the batteries.

No I won't ask someone else to solve Microsoft problems I'll contact someone else just to tell about the scam.

PC us up to date, all was ok till I plugged the pad. No message nothing, I restarted everything and still nothing, the pad is just dead !!! Plugged or not to the PC no way to turn it on again!
