Xbox One owners feel like they are being penalized on Gold offers?

Genchy is correct - you still have the game, so to speak, but you simply lose access to it (entirely) until you renew your Gold subscription. I've had Gold for years though, so I see no reason why I'm going to stop now and for that reason, such a ruling
from MS literally makes no difference to me.

 

I'm with GG on this one. My sub has never lapsed since i first got it.

On the One however if you have no Gold sub, you lose all access to the games until you resubscribe.

For me it vanished completely when the media apps were released from behind it. For others the online play, party chat, and yes even Games With Gold makes it worthwhile for them to keep resubbing.

^True that! I've pretty much considered the games "free" because I've been an XBL subscriber since Halo 2. When I subscribed, you paid for online access to MP games... and that's
all you got. Considering the cost of the service, I was happy enough with that.

People truly will complain about anything.

I'd like to add that it's not called Games Of Gold, which would imply awesome games. Nor is it called Games From Gold, which [to me] would imply that you're getting games as a
separate, stand alone offer. It's called Games WITH Gold. It comes with the service... as a fringe benefit of the service... it isn't meant to be the main function of the service.

Want better games with higher quality from a sub? Get EA access. Or stay with the 360 until the One has time to accrue a larger library to draw from.

BTW, I pulled this straight from the EA access signup page. "XBOX LIVE GOLD MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED TO ACCESS CERTAIN VAULT TITLE ONLINE FEATURES." Seems pretty clear to me, what people
are paying for with an XBL sub... and it isn't games with gold.

 

So very true. I know quite a few people that went silver after apps like Netflix came out from the pay-wall. Personally only keep Gold for the multi-player and, unless I get into the mood to play online in the next couple of months, may drop it for awhile;
then again, I have a bunch of Bing Rewards points that could be used. Decisions, decisions. Lol.

It is real hard for me to understand the complaining. The Xbox One game catalog is 17 months old and growing. While the Xbox 360 catalog has 8 years of games to give away. It is simple, Xbox gives away a few games a month, download the games you like
and disregard the games you don't care for.

What do you want? The latest AAA game for XB1 free each month?

I feel you get what you pay for I got good only so I could use Netflix and now tv app for me was worth it but now you can use on sliver I get no use out of gold and wont be renewing it

 

Gold rewards on X1 are a joke. Either a small discount or a free Indie game. whoop-dee-freakin-doo.

 

"Small Discount"....? not always, quite regularly have big 75% discounts on titles. Thief, Sniper Elite 3, Tombraider to name but a few I have leaped at in the last few months. At the moment Lego games (expect Batman) are a good offer, unfortunately, I
brought them of eBay last month (and paid more than they are in the store for now)

So this is another XBox 1 Owner who is NOT unhappy with Games with Gold

 

That not way treat someone and business when they actually given good games on both. XB1 is newer the XB360. I played more TERRARIA tomorrow nite afther unlocking a achievements on TWDS1.

 

its all about opinions - personally i havent bothered downloading the 2 'one' titles this month as i think both look awful.

I have however had so much fun playing Guacamelee and also rayman legends that the programme has more than covered itself in glory. Other people may say GM or rayman both suck, its just luck of the draw as to whether you like the tiles or not! I would never
have bought these little gems but now i cant wait for the next games in the series (if there are some of course)

 

Rayman has been my favorite GWG on X1 so far. Putting off buying it really paid off ;P

 

Tomb raider, bioshock and sniper elite are all games i would never have looked twice at, never mind pay for.

I ended up loving all 3 of them.

So many people are missing the point and are just not bothering to even try the free games, because they "may not like them", how do you know till you try??
