Xbox one overheating and games crashing

I've had this problem since the release of dark souls 2 on xbox one. Every time I start playing a game for more than an hour my game starts crashing. And it gets to a point where when I try to start it back up it will crash instantly until I let my Xbox
cool down for a couple of days. This is the worst possible thing that could happen to a gamer. I've gone through every single type of troubleshoot even restored to factory defaults and stopped for a month. It happens to disks and digital games. Destiny mcc
dark souls warframe and now even gears ultimate edition my friend and I were playing it midnight release and we couldn't even make it half way through before we had to stop due to me continuously crashing. I can't enjoy any of your content because the console
overheats. I don't have anything round or on the console nor the power supply and I've been on support live chat for hours a little while back to fix it but it didn't help... what's wrong and how do I play the stuff I bought? I don't have enough money to buy
a new console and get halo 5 so can't someone help me...

project cars 2

Multiplayer on project cars 2 on xbox one is a mess!!.
Lobbies crashing way too much!, xbox one makes strange sounds after crashing,. You have to completely start the game again for playing well. Car handling is weird, after a couple of laps the tires become red and overheating.!!
Time for patch 4 and fix the basics on project cars 2 on the xbox one.

Xbox one crashing

Tried the unplugging. Booted up fine, and then back to the usual crashing. Possible overheating issue?

Make sure the vents aren't covered there's two on the side and one on the top. Make sure it's not in an enclosed space. Also check out the help form below.

Forgot to mention that it sometimes crashes during specific points in a game. There was this cutscene in Dragon Ball Kakarot that always used to cause my Xbox to crash due to overheating. I got around it by skipping this one cutscene as soon as it started.

If your console only crashes at that point it could be a game crash but the screen that says your console overheated is another issue.

If your xbox keeps turning off because of overheating you will have to send in your console for repairs unless your console is not getting proper ventilation. I would suggest moving it to a better location to get more air.

Same issue.

Xbox one X crashes only on NBA2K20 (Game pass). Can play other games hours and hours but NBA2K20 crashes randomly, or if I try to play NBA2K20 street mode it immediately crashes (every time).

Once restarted an error code stating overheating is presented on the screen, however, the Xbox is not hot. This also happens after an overnight with the Xbox unplugged, and in the morning trying to get into the street mode: it crashes immediately with the
same error code (no way the Xbox could get heated that fast to crash the machine 2-3 minutes after the first, morning restart).
