Xbox One Output

Hi there. Just wanted to seek your help with something that I have been unable to correct myself. So a couple months ago, having brought my Xbox back from Uni, I noticed the output was too large for my TV, as in the edges of the screen were off the screen.
So when I went into my settings to try and correct this, I stupidly switched the output setting from HDMI to DVI. The TV was no longer receiving any output. However as I can not see the screen anymore, and do not have a DVI monitor, I can't switch it back
to HDMI. I spoke to someone over at Xbox Support online, who said the only way to fix this would be to use the Offline System Update Diagnostic tool. Last week I decided to go through the steps, downloading the file onto a USB and following the steps as per
the Xbox.com website instructions. However this also did not work. I heard the two consecutive beeps after ~10 seconds, but still nothing was coming up on my screen. I've tried using different HDMI cables, different HDMI ports on my TV, nothing works. So I
ordered a HDMI to DVI cable, and a DVI to HDMI cable, joining them together so that hopefully it would come up again on my TV allowing me to switch back to HDMI. However I've just tried it, and it also has failed to work. I'm now at a loss as to how to proceed,
and will gladly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Xbox One S and Sonos dd5.1

I have sonos 5.1 in my front room and this worked fine with my Original Xbox One using bitstream output. But now with my new Xbox One S I can't get any audio output when setting the xbox to output over bitstream.

Any indication when and if this will be supported/enabled on the Xbox One S?

 

Xbox one output in 720 and not 1080

Not all games on Xbox One output in 1080p. But in your case your tv apparently is only capable of a 720p output anyway.

In particular this section may yield some results for you.

1.If there's a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

2.On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.

3.Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You will hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. DO NOT LET GO until the second
beep occurs.

Note This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, go to Settings in the guide, select Display & sounds, Video options, and then TV Resolution.
