    Xbox One Original Turning On and Off


    I’m going to begin with when the start of this problem occured. This problem started around a month ago, I was playing NieR:Automata and then my Xbox randomly shuts off along with the Power Brick. When this problem first started happening, I would unplug
    the power brick from it’s power supply and replug it, when I turned it on I was able to play again. However the same problem would reoccur again from time to time.

    This past few weeks Sep 1 - 12, I’ve been having this issue, it’s gotten to the point where I turn on my console for a second and it turns off with (brick along).

    On (Sep 11) the problem occured again, doing what I always did I unplugged the power supply from the outlet and the xbox, waited plugged it back in and turned on my Xbox. It would turn on but turn off when I clicked on a game. Some how I managed to get a
    few hours of Destiny 2 in after constantly unplugging/replugging, etc. But when I clicked on another game my Xbox turned off immediately.

    Today (Sep 12), I havn’t been able to play a single game. Sometimes the Xbox would power on and I would be on the homescreen or Youtube/Netflix and it would turn off. I would click on a game and my Xbox would turn off. Currently as of 7:30, when I plug my
    power supply in, it would turn on for 1 second then off right after (both powersupply and xbox). I want to know if the issue is in my power supply or console. I have been researching, reading, and watching videos about this issue and replies are mixed.

    I already ordered a new powersupply off of Ebay since original Xbox power supplies aren’t manufactured anymore, but since the Xbox’s powersupply is turning off too, I would assume the issue lies within the power supply and not the console correct?

    I did try that with unplugging yhe xbox ect but still the same affect where it turns off during that campain

    Yes only happens on that game and for that part of the game (the campain) i can play the arcade bit fine just the campain it doesnt like. Ill try to unistall and reinstall it

    Try to delete the game do a hard restart *Hold power button for 10 seconds* and reinstall it.

    Does this ONLY happen for BF2 by the way? It might just be a corrupted install that a reinstall could fix.

    Hi James,

    Thanks for letting us know you have already tried that with no success. Before you re-install the game since that can take a while, I recommend trying a soft factory reset first and then re-install after if the reset alone doesn't help either. The reset
    will restore the operating system and clear any potential corruption.

    Before you reset the Xbox make sure you have all your account login information available since you will need to re-add your profile during the setup. When asked, select manual setup instead of apply for your settings. You should select keep my games and
    reset when you go to the System settings. Here is the guide for reference:

    Hi James,

    So it seems that the game is glitching when continuing the campaign from that point, which then causes your Xbox to shut down. We can try a few things to get it working again and I'd be happy to assist.

    Go ahead and do a
    hard reset and power cycle    . Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox, the external power supply, and the power outlet for about 2-3
    minutes. Then re-connect and turn on the Xbox.

    If that doesn't help you may need to try a
    soft factory reset     but let us know if the power cycle helps.
