    Im having issues with download at standby mode my console its properly configured to download when my console are on sleeping mode but recently after the last xbox update OS at 2020/11/05 i noticed my console not downloading at standby mode , if anyone
    having the same issue recently made it works again please tell me? I tried hard reset with cleaning cache taking the cord from energy, cleaned the cache and mac address ... Restarted the download and nothing works i also made a reset to default keeping the
    game but not working... Please I need help

    thanks that's all right, I didn't have patience to wait the download start on standby mode and turn off the xbox.

    One last question, How long I can stay the xbox in standby mode downloading contents?

    Whenever I turn my xbox one back on, I get the green screen with the xbox logo for about 30 seconds. Then I have to wait for all my games and apps to load back

    Your Xbox was putting the power saving mode like everyone’s Xbox after the last firmware update, as a way to stop using unnecessary power. Sleep uses abit 1/20th the energy of standby. . If you wish to change this, go into settings and choose power and have it go to standby instead

    Same sort of thing for me. Forza 5 update today, turned on Xbox and was expecting Forza to be updated considering the update was out 6+ hours before and I had to wait for Forza to download the update after I had switched on the Xbox. Ive got the Xbox set
    to "Instant On" and the "Auto download" set to on. Main system update from the other week was fine as that downloaded overnight and when I switched on the Xbox it was installing it straight away.

    My question as well is if the Xbox is in standby mode should it still be connected to the router via wifi? My router shows a list of connected devices. Xbox in standby mode isnt shown on the list and so isnt connected via wifi, yet my PS4 in standby is shown
    connected via wifi to the router. So should the Xbox be connected on wifi all the time when its in standby or just when its physically on? If its not connected via wifi when its in standby how does it get updates?

    Hey Viicsmoken,

    To edit my original post, the Xbox One will do background downloads as you're using apps and doing other tasks. It will
    not download games or apps when turned off. The system however will check for system updates when available and on standby. The Xbox will shut off to stand-by when the power mode is set to "Instant-On" (default).
