Xbox one only plays DVD zoomed in

Discus and support Xbox one only plays DVD zoomed in in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; My Xbox one will play DVDs but will only play zoomed in on the screen to where I can only see a quarter of the screen.     Xbox one only plays DVD zoomed in


    My Xbox one will play DVDs but will only play zoomed in on the screen to where I can only see a quarter of the screen. Games play fine and nothing else is zoomed in. Its only when the DVD opens and starts to play it's zoomed in.

    I've installed a new dvd drive in my xbox and it only plays dvd's.It won't read any game discs.I don't know what to do to fix this problem.Can anyone help me?

    Nobody here can help you. Self-repair is against the terms of service and can get you banned. Talk of self-repair is not allowed on the forums.

    So 155 people in a year have this problem...but no answer?

    For the next person who has this problem and is frustrated that they cant figure it out. I fixed it. You need to update the blu-ray/dvd app to the latest version.

    For the next person who has this problem and is frustrated that they cant figure it out. I fixed it. You need to update the blu-ray/dvd app to the latest version.

    Xbox One DVD flicker and aspect ratio!!!!!

    I have the same problem with DVD playback, however, it's only on DVDs recorded on a toshiba DVD recorder. Bought DVDs play in the correct aspect ratio on Xbox one, but recorded DVDs play in 4:3. However, on every other DVD player, they play in widescreen.
    On Xbox 360 I can adjust the aspect ratio in settings. I cannot find how to do this on the Xbox one.

    will the Xbox one have cinema zoom to get rid of the black bars for Blu Ray like the 360 had for dvd?

    iv not come across a blu ray player that has zoom yet and to be honest I think I will go back to dvds with movies that have 2.35 ratio, at least I will enjoy them, the 360 had a zoom function just hoping the one has cus it may win me over the ps4.
