Xbox one on off button is dim??? PLEASE HELP

Hi I do not have a Kinect and I just did the advanced exchange so I received a NEW Xbox one, that's what the chat person said, and I noticed the on off button is dim, games rub fine and stuff. Just on off button. Please help? controller seems a bit dim
too.

I received my xbox one in the mail hooked it up and boom I put cod ghosts in no crackling noise but I can't get it out the eject button doesn't work and the power button doesn't turn it on or off this can be worked around by by saying xbox on on and
off but the disc tray can't please help

@Lofty, yes, until i had pulled the mains lead, pressing and holding the controllers xbox button only switched off the the pad itself not the X1, pressing the xbox button on the X1 did switch off the console, im just a little concerened that this happened,
and wondering if the console is on the way out, or is there another reason for this ?

 

Try checking your power settings. I feel it might have something to do with reducing energy consumption to make it more power efficient.

The power light on the console goes from bright too dim depending on the consoles function an room lighting had mine sincee release and have noticed it to but when there is plenty of light or starting a game it brightens back up. No worries.

 

Hey guys, thanks for the responses. So it goes from bright to dim even without a Kinect? My Xbox one is in a fairly bright room, it is basically a 3 season sun room, surrounded with Windows and doors. With the sunlight, it's hard to even see the Xbox
one light during the day, but it's visible at night. When I boot up my Xbox 1 controller, it starts off bright when it is flashing and before it stops it turns dim and then stops, it kinda looks purple ish a bit, but I think I'm overthinking. Games run fine,
just was curious.

Okay. Warhead is this the case?? once again I do NOT have a Kinect.

 

Just want to be sure cuz my other one was plugged in the same exact place and was not as dim

 

Why did my other one seem brighter in the same spot?
