Xbox One offline update failed

Since the newest update dropped a week or two ago I have been having issues with my Xbox. When doing the update it kept failing. Tried a power cycle, reset an full factory reset. Nothing worked. Then we tried the offline update with a USB. It still won't update! Tried again this morning and got this error code 0x8007045D.

I am infuriated with Microsoft at this point. Our Xbox was working perfectly fine until this update dropped and now we can't access anything at all. Before we tried the factory reset we could at least use the Xbox without internet now we can't even do that! It is looking like the hard drive is busted and it needs to be sent in for service. But why should I pay for this when it is clearly a faulty update?

Thanks for the update on the issue with the failed update. If the issue persists with the failed update, try this: Xbox One System Update Solution
and click on Update My Console Offline.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

Sounds like a failed update. I do CS for Xbox. Try the restore factory defaults option and it will fix that

Well no we can't help with self repair

The above steps won't help aa the IA didn't read your post correctly

There is a reason why it's failing

Xbox one os are all the same you update to the latest one that's not the issue

The issue is the HDD

You mist take it to BestBuy or do a repair order

The E200 error code usually indicates that there was a problem when your Xbox console attempted to install the latest operating system (OS) update for the console.

From what you're telling me, it sounds like your Xbox One is a hybrid setup with an Xbox One X OS and the hard drive is from another Xbox One with a regular OS. This could be causing the problem you are experiencing.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

1. Restart your console by selecting "Restart this Xbox" on the "Something went wrong" screen.
2. Restart your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter by holding down the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then pressing the Xbox button.
3. Download and perform an offline system update (OSU1) by following these steps:

- Connect a USB flash drive with at least 6 GB of space formatted as NTFS to a Windows PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.
- Download the Offline System Update (OSU1) file from the Microsoft website.
- Extract the compressed FactoryReset file and copy the extracted folder to a USB flash drive.
- Turn off your Xbox One, unplug the power cable, and wait 30 seconds.
- Connect the USB flash drive to your Xbox One.
- Select "Offline System Update" from the menu using your controller.
