Xbox one offline sign in issues

It's my home xbox I've played games offline before. When I updated to the new dashboard it wouldn't let me play games offline.

I would turn on my xbox one and I wouldn't be signed in. I then go to sign in on the dashboard, I click "sign in" it says Hello Simon on the screen, then goes back to the dashboard and shows that I'm not signed in.

xbox.com/status shows issues with sign in services on xbox one.

Problem is that it won't even sign in locally so i'm unable to play offline!!

 

Can't play anything because I can't sign in

My first Xbox. I have never experienced so many issues than since I got the Xbox one. Because of an Xbox outage, I can't even SIGN IN to my xbox so I can't play anything. This is ridiculous. I thought you didn't need the internet to play!! And before you say it, I did "go offline" and it still won't let me sign which means I can't do anything. Hell, my Xbox even froze the first time I started it up. I was selecting my theme color and it just froze. Ug. I like my Xbox one more than my Playstations, but geez, so many constant issues...freezes, network status, can't play offline, etc.

 

I'm experiencing a similar problem I can't sign into my account. Nothing on my screen pops up. It just loads and sends me back to the offline screen. After I have clicked on sign into my account. I have tried hard resetting my Xbox but it still doesn't solve
my problem.
