Xbox One Official Chat Headset

Hello

Does the Xbox One Official Chat Headset only provide chat audio or does it provide both chat and gameplay audio?

Hello Gaaiz,

The console is still reading it as a headset, due to the USB Dongle is still plugged in to the console, even though the dongle is turned off. As for the Official Xbox headset they are a third party headset not a first party. They are usable on the Xbox but
not an official product of Xbox. Official are the Xbox one chat headset and Xbox one Stereo Headset made by Microsoft. As Sanana stated you could get with the manufacturers and see what options they have for configuration of the headset.

The chat function on my Xbox One seems pretty dodgy too. I have 2 official controllers and for some reason the official headset wont work with one of them.

Hey there Luke thanks for taking the time to bring this inquiry to us.

As stated on our
Chat headset page, Once you've connected your Xbox One Chat Headset to your Xbox One Wireless Controller, you're ready to use it for in-game and party chat. So in short no, it will only allow chat not game audio. Hope this helps!

Is this an Official Xbox One Chatpad or one from another manufacturer? Has the setup ever worked before with the Turtle Beach headset? Does it work with the standard Microsoft Chat Headset?

Hello!

Officially this isn't supported and most likely will not work, according to the Xbox Support Page.

"Controllers connected via Bluetooth do not support any attachments, including chat headsets."
