Xbox One Odd startup sound

Each time I boot up my xbox one, it always makes this odd sound that sounds like something spinning is somehow roughed up? I don't really know how to describe it. It lasts for about three seconds, normally two "occurences" of it happening in that time frame.
Whenever I play normally it never happens, only when I first turn my xbox on. It sounds like the disc is having a hard time spinning--then again I only download games and don't use discs.

This first happened I'd say about a week or two ago. One thing I remember doing is going to the far lands in Minecraft bedrock... basically I teleported myself 12.5 million blocks in +x and +z direction. Minecraft breaks down at these absurd distances, which
I think may have had something to do with this? I couldn't move at that distance but teleported myself back to 0 0. The only reason I'm bringing this up is because I think it may have caused it by pushing my xbox to the limits. But I don't know for sure, that's
the only odd thing I have done recently that may cause this.

I have also had this xbox since the summer of 2014. It's one of the first xbox ones, but obviously not a day one. I honestly think it's a hardware issue that'll have to get shipped to fix. Even then, I don't know if it's worth it. I remember xbox ones having
a warranty of 10 years? At least when the hype for it first came out, it's probably not the case.

Could be your fan maybe? If it's that old could be covered in dust and grime. Without a disk in the disk drive the only other thing spinning is your HDD. HDD's normally dont make a roughed up sound even when they are going bad. So maybe fan?

Xbox One's have a warranty of 1 year in United States and 2 years in Europe.

I don't think Minecraft is the issue here, maybe it was a coincidence.

Besides the odd sound, you are able to play without any issues? Is it possible that you have an DVD or a game inserted in the console? If yes, remove it and check if the Xbox makes the sound you are describing when booting up.

Also, are you keeping the console horizontaly or vertically? Cause the original one it wasn't made for being put in vertical.

And as a personal tip, I think it will be cheaper finding an Xbox One S (being new or second hand) that repairing it.

Have you used your disc drive at all? Maybe for movies or music CDs? If it's not the disc drive the other concern for internal moving parts would be the cooling system, which would be a priority to look at, and I'd have to direct you to
the Microsoft Device Support page to see what your options for repair/replacement there would be.

I don't think it has a guarantee for so long, but you can still clean it with compressed air or have it repaired with the Xbox service.
