Xbox One NXE Dashboard Issues

Been putting off the NXE update on my One for a while, but it finally force-downloaded two days ago. The update downloaded fine, or at least I think it did, because now I have a prevailing problem where the console will start either immediately online or
offline, and then switch to the other state within about 10 seconds, constantly reverting the dashboard between its online and offline layouts. At first it caused issues with the dashboard being responsive to any inputs, but I managed to get it working and
can play my disc copy of Fallout 4 just fine. This glitch does, however, seem to cause issues with data-syncing, and so I have to time my loading of Fallout 4 with when the system is "online". I am connected wirelessly to the internet currently, and have
tried disconnecting and reconnecting to the router to see if that would fix the issue to no avail. I will see if a wired connection will fix the issue at my first opportunity, but as I do primarily use my Xbox One with a wireless connection, I prefer to have
my dashboard working properly. I have yet to try other games with this issue, especially those with larger online components.

If anyone else has run across this particular issue, any suggestions for how I could get everything working properly again?

Different Dashboard Options

Here's an idea. The Xbox one has different dashboard presets you can choose from. For example you can go back and forth from the old blade system, the NXE dashboards and the Xbox one dashboard (or home).

Ideas? Thoughts?

Can you check if you have another update we got another to fix the sync problem not sure if it went to non preview members, If you don't have an update, Go into settings/network choose go offline then press console button 8 seconds wait 30seconds then power
backup go to settings/network choose go online hopefully that should sort the sync problem.

 

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work.

New info. Apparently the update failed, and I have error code 0x8B050066. That possibly make this any easier to solve?

 

That code usually means there was a server problem and you should try to install update again, If you cant install from console you will need to use the offline update tool.

 

I set my console to instant-on mode, and it looks like it found an update last night, because I'm not having any issues anymore. Thanks so much for the help!
