XBOX ONE NUBE and Storage confusion

I have an Xbox one 500GB. When content fills the 500GB, what is the best answer? Im unclear if games (not saves) are stored in the cloud?? Also, Ive read Xbox oene will accepet external storage, and i read it will.noet. Wont moest games and coentent be
downloaded to the 500GB HD???

hi the stuff ad's up to 3.75GB and the xbox need some room to operate well. you can buy a hard drive for 80 to 90 bucks some places like amazon have it cheaper ebey also or micorsoft store has new ones also but make shure the hard drive is genuine microsoft
product or else you will have more problems

There are also system files that have to be on there. So the actual amount of space to use on the drive is about 3.2 gb.

 

Game saves are in the cloud I think any dlc is there too games are saved on the Xbox which will fill up quick you can use external HD if you require

 

Yep games and DLC will be on the internal hardrive, any saves will be in the Cloud (not games), Xbox One supports external storage USB 3.0. Anything you download and then delete will be sat there waiting for you to download it again should you feel the
need.

It says 500GB but actually there's only about 367GB available for game saves.

You would be wise to invest in an External Storage Device.

 

Saves are stored in the cloud but also cached to the hard drive.

Some games also reserve large amounts of space on the hard drive.

External storage is worth getting if you plan on getting loads of games as deleting and redownloading /installing could become a pain.

Any HDD has to be USB3.0 and at least 256GB

 

I got a Seagate 4TB which is the same model that Major Nelson was using (and probably still is using).

However my buddy who works in IT swears by Western Digital so those are 2 brands to look into if you're thinking of getting one.
