  2. Just noticed red led's aren't flashing on controller anymore.

Anyone know if this has anything to do with Kinect using less resources or because now the XBOX One is now sold without Kinect?

Xbox One - Now with less Kinect

I'm happy I'll be able to afford one. I'm not doing it because I don't want the Kinect or I subscribe to any of these tinfoil hat theories but rather because $500 is difficult for me to afford and I can't justify the expense.

  5. Unibro, I am just disappointed because now the kinetic may be more of an accessory. I really hope the people who buy it are happy, and I'm sure the community will grow.

It is good as it offers consumers a choice. Bundles with Kinect will still be available for purchase after the kinectless bundle becomes available. A very good move Microsoft well played.

it is a bit of a kick in the teeth now, but least I can Skype and use voice commands and use upload studio to its fullest, bit beat about games for gold though as the first games that are coming in june I already own.

^^ Why upset about the games for gold offerings? You didnt have to buy the games when you did. Its not like XB1 has some sort of super secret catalog of games to giveaway that no one has played.

Well, that is 100% incorrect. On the 360, you cannot say things like, "Xbox... Go to XYZ" You could merely do limited/basic commands. On the One, the integration was much more.

Also should mention that I don't think the 360's Kinect was "vilified", but it was more the games designed for it were called into question.

  11. The only thing that I am concerned about is the feedback they are referring to. Many people kicked up about several times and they seem to have had their wishes granted, where as those that are happy with how things work, remain silent or applauding so the
feedback isn't really there on that stand point. I guess I just don't want to see a time where only the bad feedback is addressed instead of met half way.

I am applauding all these MS reversals. They're on the path to glory now...

And do you know who you have to thank for this? SONY, that's who. In a monolithic monopolistic vacuum of 1 console choice, every single stupid draconian policy MS or SONY wanted to do (no used games, forced online, etc) would have been a horrible reality.
Capitalism is usually garbage, but here? It worked...The competition is more cutthroat than ever, and MS is forced to cave.

It could get even better for consumers...Steambox is coming. PC gaming is still putting pressure on the console market. Console prices could drop much sooner than expected holiday 2014. Could we see XB1 and PS4 both at $299 on Black Friday as these 2 dipshits
try to loose money there and make it back on software sales? It could happen...

The moral of this story is, don't force a consumer to buy a force-bundled product they don't want...This is why everyone wants their local cable monopoly dead...200 channels I'll never watch ever...

I haven't bought or owned a Sony console since PS2 and I am happy about this news and will probably buy one when I see it on sale. Not everyone who disagrees with you is a troll JT the Fanboy.

So essentially we have PS4 lite? Seriously we now have a $400 box, apps no longer locked behind the paywall, and XBL Gold becomes PS+ in June. I guess they really wanted to bring this fight down to the games as that is the only advantage I see.
