Xbox One notifies me when people not on my friends list get online.

For some reason all the people I defriended during the last Xbox Live outage still give me notifications when I get on. I have blocked one just to see if it helps. It doesn't. It's like they are still my friend. Any notification I would get if I were following
someone is being given to be by someone I have blocked.

It's not a big deal, just rather annoying.

XBOX on Windows 10 Notifications?

We would like to know if you are referring to the notification settings on the Xbox app. These are the settings that you can change on the Xbox app notifications. You can do this by going to Xbox app>Settings>Notifications.

Notifications - The following items can be adjusted:

Favorite online (notifies you when favorite friends are online).

Twitch broadcast started (notifies you when favorite friends start broadcasting).

Message (notifies you when you get a new message).

Can't send friend request

I have encountered a weird bug with my xbox live account where it notifies me that xxxxx (person who I tried to add) is online however they are not on my friends list. I ignored it for the longest time but now that I try to add him, it says process can't
be completed. I only have 44 friends and my settings are on everyone. My account has has issues when trying to redownload it in the past. I also tried clearing my system cache but no prevail.

As the crafty Badger said you can now have up to a thousand random, strange people on your friends list! I'd like to see a sort of "Close Friends" list added where you can place certain friends in so can find them quicker. Speaking of which it'd be nice
if the Xbox One notified you when people in the Close Friends list came online etc.

Seeing as there is no cross-platform support, it would only make sense they don't notify you of people coming online that can't be played with. When Playing Titanfall on the X1 I know "I" don't want to be interrupted by notifications of friends coming online
with the 360.

I only have 8 people on my "favorites" list, and only four of them have a X1...you can imagine I don't get notified very often. Lol.

I agree with more or less everything, in response to PICK 34 as well they should maybe even do it so you can see when friends in your favourites list come online (or even have the option to choose between having no notifications, being notified when all
friends come online or being notified when favorites come online.

I think they messed up a lot of the menus so these are priorities for me, it shouldnt take longer to go to your friends, start a party and invite what friends you want to talk to on the xbox one compared to 360

ALSO BRING BACK "INVITE TO GAME/INVITE TO PARTY" !!!!!! PARTY CHAT SHOULD NOT BE COMBINED WITH INVITING PEOPLE TO YOUR GAME, They're seperate things!

And an FYI I've done the following:

-Deleted my profile from console then re-installed it.

-Cleared persistent strorage in blu-ray.

-Cleared alternate MAC address.

-Hard reset countless times.

-Hard reset, then unplugged every single wire coming and going to and from console including router and modem and unplugged all power from outlets.

-Used other consoles to check.

-Restored to factory defaults. (Last resort option)
