XBOX ONE NOTIFICATION ISSUE

hello. i cannot receive or send friend or game invites or find friends. when in game the notifications will pop up for 3 seconds at the bottom of the screen then disappear and will not go to my notifications bar. the same thing happens with friend invites.
if i click on them during that time they will not show up. they disappear and send me back into the game. this happens with either friends or people that i dont know, and none of them go to the notifications bar on the left. also when trying to invite players
to my game, regardless of if they are in game or not if i go to their profile and click on INVITE TO GAME the drop down menu with Join Game and Invite to game are both grayed out and cannot be used. i cannot find friends either, the system says that player
does not exist. this began when the windows 10 update happened. before then it was fully functional. again, i cannot send or receive friends requests or game invites. i have xbox one gold.the ONLY thing that i CAN accept are messages. i am not the only person
with this issue *as i found out a few nights ago*. i have a good gamer rep as well. xbox tech support for this does not exist, i have tried for 2 weeks at least to get this issue resolved via 1 800 4 my xbox to no avail. please help!

Xbox One Notification issue

Hey there Burdmayn,

We've not seen many reports of this type of issue, but are you seeing any notifications at all? If you check in your notifications section are you seeing new ones listed? If you clear those out are you able to see new notifications pop up?

Xbox One Notification issue

Hello all,

Writing in today as my Xbox One hasn't been giving me notifications for things like messages and achievements since a little after the Summer Update. I made sure that my notification settings are enabled (they are) and even restarted the console a
few times to no avail. Is this a known issue that's being worked on? I want my notifications back but I don't want to factory reset my console to do so. Any help would be appreciated!

Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your console. First thing to check, are you part of the Xbox One Update Preview? If you are, please be sure to report the issue on your console as well as the
Xbox One Update Preview forums, that way the Preview Team is aware of the trouble you're having.

 

i dont even know what the xbox one update preview is lol! i have checked on this further and it seems as though the issue happens on gears of war 3 and 2. gow one *ultimate dition for the xbox one* has no issue so i think this is a backwards compatible problem,
although i did try to invite people to oddworld new and tasty and it wouldnt allow that either. very strange that this is happening. all the other games that i have *admittedly i dont have many* dont seem to have this problem and i'm not blocked from using
the gow games.

 

I am in in the same boat as you, but with a different notification bug. Anytime I receive a message, game download update, party invite, or achievement there would be no pop-up notifications and they won't even show in the notification bar. I have tried
every suggested fix with no luck and I have been dealing with this for over six months now. The only thing I have learn about this issue is that the NXOE title update is to be blamed. Before the NXOE, all the notification were running smoothly until that update
srcewed everything up.

Thanks for clarifying that OnwardMovie9545! Are you inviting friends from the Xbox 360 guide or through the Xbox One side bar? If you didn't know, you can bring up the Xbox 360 guide by pressing both the menu and view buttons at the same time. Both you and
the friend you're inviting have to be in the game you're inviting them to when playing a Backward Compatible title.

 

ive only tried from the xbox one guide and not the 360 guide. thank you for mentioning that! and actually, this did start happening right after that last xbox one update so Prune Face46 is spot on *if thats what they meant by nxoe, im a noob to this tech
jargon lol*. thats when mine started happening too. its really driving me bonkers because gow 3 is pretty much the only multiplayer game that i like!

Yes, I have created a Xbox One Forum post that describe the problem I am dealing with the Xbox One. The post how long I have been dealing with this and the method I have used to try to fix it with no luck. Also, this problem is only affecting my Xbox One,
the Xbox 360 is running smoothly.
