Xbox one nothing displays after startup

Please try the solution below.

1. Turn off Xbox One.

2. Unplug power.

3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.

4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).

5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.

6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.

7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.

8. Select Keep games and apps.

Do you mean the Xbox One X intro before the standard green startup screen is missing? If so, go to your display settings and check if the output is 4k. If it is, then theres nothing to worry about. Your X is working as normal, only the startup is missing.
Theres no need for a replacement

Hi there Steve welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. This sounds like a hardware issue!

I have read your steps but I suggest doing them like this:

1. Turn off your Xbox using the power button on the console.

2. Once your Xbox has completely powered down, unplug the power cord from the back of the console. Don't simply unplug the cord from the wall's electrical socket — it must be disconnected from your Xbox.

3. Wait for 5 minutes, and then reconnect the power cord to both the Xbox console and the electrical socket.

4. Let another minute pass. If you're using an original Xbox One (as opposed to an Xbox One S or One X), watch for a small white light to appear on the Xbox One's power brick (the rectangular part of the power cord). Once the white light turns orange, you can turn your Xbox One back on. If you're using an Xbox One S or One X, just wait out the minute and turn it on afterwards.

After that please let me know if you can access the troubleshooting menu with the Eject and power buttons! If you can select Reset and remove everything

Unfortunately, it seems an issue with the HDD my pop's XOne had a similar issue, we took it to repair and it seems like a lot of users have reported thisbissue after years of using the first model of the XOne, I suggest taking the console for repair!

Yeah sounds like HDD. Was watching a youtube video on how to swap and add the boot files to a newly formatted HDD. They don't make it easy - Bummer. Consoles an older device. Will have to weigh the new buy costs vs time vs newer tech and decide.Thanks for the insights.
