Xbox one not working with computer monitor

    So I got an Xbox one S a couple days ago, but I only have a computer monitor to plug it into. I got an HDMI to VGA adapter for it and it seems to work okay EXCEPT for the fact that the screen turns off and on randomly every now and then. The monitor has
    worked perfectly for me before with my Xbox 360, so I have a feeling it might be the adapter's fault. Any ideas on what might be causing it?

    Need help with Xbox one or monitor settings

    i have been playing the Xbox one on my computer monitor and for some reason the screen is really bright and white. While playing call of duty it is very hard to see people in the distance because it is dark and up close is white. My brightness is around 30 and my contrast is around 80. I have played with these settings and nothing seems too work. I have calibrated the monitor with my Xbox as well as my computer and still nothing works. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Check the settings on the monitor, as well as the output. Also, try using a different HDMI cable. You can also adjust the video settings via the xbox settings as well via Settings>general>TV&Display options.

    Try going to the settings and check the output resolution of the Xbox one and make sure it's compatible with your monitor's resolution. also the refresh rate.
