Xbox One not updating

For the past few days, I've been completely unable to access my Xbox One outside the offline mode. Every time I attempt to perform the system update, it stops at 82% and is followed by "There was a problem with the update." I know it isn't my network, because
everything else is running just fine. Before this outage fiasco, my Xbox One had been running smoothly and effortlessly the few weeks I've had it. I'm becoming exceedingly annoyed that I cannot do anything with my console except watch it collect dust.

Not everyone is being put into the New Xbox One experience this early. They are sending the update out in waves. You'll generally need to wait until you are sent the update over the next several weeks.

Hey there, OmniChaos! Sorry to hear about these problems you're having, but we might have some answers.

Typically the issue you're experiencing is caused by a network or caching issue. I know you said that you don't think it's being caused by a network issue, however that's the leading cause so we'd like to make sure.

To test your network connection you can follow these steps:

First, test your Xbox Live connection to see if this is a network issue:

Press the Menu button on the Xbox One controller.

Select Settings.

Select Network.

On the Network Settings screen, select Test network connection on the right side of the screen.

If you see the It’s all good screen after running the test, the connection test was successful.

As I said in my initial post, I could not get online, even to test my network connection. Every attempt I made would reroute me to the update screen. I have since preformed a factory reset in hopes of it helping the problem, but now I'm simply stuck at the
set-up screen, unable to get past this accursed update. It has, however, allowed me to test my network connection, and I get the all good from both wired and wireless connection tests.
