Xbox one not tracking time played with games or time used with apps

Do I need to activate it to track time used with games and apps or should it do it automatically?? I had a Xbox one at launch and it tracked everything fine, then I got a ps4 and wasn't on Xbox for 6 months, I get back on and it won't track anything now.
It tracked 1 hour of Titanfall but ive played way more than 1 hour.

Console makers are killing the game industry

Low I spend alot money on XBOX. I spend slot time in game. But used the apps for time I do not have to played with. Or want do something becide gaming.

Same issue here. Signing out does not fix it. Contacted Xbox Support, and they had no solution except to wait a few weeks to see if it "catches up"...

My friends time played updates daily, whereas mine doesn't update at all, or when it does its very random. I have played Destiny for over 60 hours and yet it still shows 9.

Tried rebuilding the profile, resetting, clearing advanced dns, cache, etc. Nothing works.

Xbox support will follow up with me in about a weeks time, and when they do (if they dont I will call), I will have the case escalated since a lot of others are having the issue as well.

 

try doing a hard reset of your console by holding the power button down on the front of the console until it turns off then unplug it from the outlet for 30 sec then plug back in. This might correct the issue your having.

 

Anyone else manage to find a solution to this? Time played doesn't seem to be working for me either. Got 2 minutes on Forza and hasn't increased since.

 

If you go back to the dash and DO NOT QUIT/Close the game you're playing and instead sign out of your gamer tag it will track your time played.

 

Just wanted to say thanks to SLiSH83 for the tip, this has fixed this problem for me - for now, anyway. It's not the most convenient thing in the world but it's better than nothing!
