    Xbox One not starting.


    After a series of slow starts, sluggish dashboard loads over the past weeks... our xbox has died.

    Symptoms:

    -pressing power button lights white xbox button.

    -Kinect light never comes on.

    -NO hdmi input detected by tv.

    -only fan heard, possible head movement on DVD or HD unsure (lacks characteristic spinning noise of hd discs.)

    -fails to go into factory reset mode upon holding bind and eject button with USB image inserted and power button pressed.

    -doesn't access external drive, usually a late stage event anyways.

    -disc will eject and insert.

    Steps tried already:

    -power brick disconnect and repower.

    -power brick disconnect and long press full reboot.

    -reattempt with no disc, no Kinect, no external drive, no network cable. (power and hdmi only)

    -swapped to known working hdmi cable

    -swapped hdmi ports on tv with both cables.

    -factory usb reset process attempted (not my first time), one chirp on holding bind and eject, then power... but not activity from there.

    My intuition is a bad HDD. Any help would be appreciated.

    Xbox One Downloads Not Starting

    Hi Guys! On my One all the Apps and Game Updates are not downloading. After 1-2 seconds the download is in a Queue and after a while xbox says download aborted, try again. I can not update any Game, download any App . I can only connect to Live and use
    bing for websearch. Game Downloads (COD Ghosts) is also not possible. Network says NAT is Open!!! Xbox is connected via WLAN with AirPort Extreme . AEx is conected with a Thomson TG585 Modem Router.

    Xbox One not starting right

    Before trying the offline diagnostic tool, try holding the logo on your console until it turns off, unplugging the power cord from the back for 5 minutes and trying again. If that doesn't work, I would try the offline diagnostic tool.

    Hey joecole6!

    Thanks for reaching out to Xbox forums support.

    See if you can borrow a similar power source unit from a friend or family member who owns the same console as you.

    Or take your console to a Game Store in you area where they might be able to lend you a power supply unit

    to determine if that's the problem or if its an actual problem with your console. That's the only way to find out.

    Hopefully it's just an issue with your power supply unit which would be a less expensive fix than getting your console repaired or replaced.

    Try that out and let us know how it turns out for you.

    Make sure you are plugged into the hdmi out port and not in. If your power brick isn't turning on you might have a faulty brick. What light does the brick show?

    Hi,

    Sorry about your issue, now if previous troubleshooting not working, its meaning that your Xbox is out of order...

    If its due to the power outage normally into your home insurance there is a way to get money from them to get your Xbox repaired.

    Please check with your insurance.
