Xbox One Not Showing Me That I'm Online?

Ok well my girlfriend that plays on the xbox 360 sometimes tells me that it's not showing that i'm online (when i'm on the xbox one) when i CLEARLY am lol. (i have appearing online ON and everything) so i'm not too sure what the problem is.. not sure if
this is happening to anyone else.. is there a way i can see for myself if it's showing i'm online or not?

Sorry to hear you're dealing with this problem.

If you don't mind me asking, how long has this been affecting you?

I only ask as we are currently having problems with our
Xbox Service Status so that could be the issue. The issue is currently affecting profiles and information for them such as progress and gold access.

I would going to that page and having Xbox notify you when the problem is resolved on our end and see if it goes back to normal.

If it doesn't after the service alert is resolved, then I would first try powercycling your console following the steps outlined here at

How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console. to see if that helps you out.

Give that step a shot and let us know how that helped.

Not showing I'm online

i have been having the same problem, but my friend says that its me not appearing online, even though i checked my privacy settings, and everything is fine. i also made sure that i am appearing as online, but i still appear offline to him, and we cannot
connect ingame. any suggestions or help?

Might be a not so bright question here, but she's on your friends list right? and Vise Versa?

You could try re-adding each other and see if that solves it. Haven't experienced the problem myself thou. But that the only thing I can think of.

Yes we are both on each others' friendslist but we could try that.. i will let you know if it works.

Did you add her from the One or was it from the 360/Xbox.com? I have one friend who I added on my Xbox One who does not show up on my friends list on the 360 or on Xbox.com. I'd bet that is the issue - try adding her from the Xbox website or a 360 console.

To be honest i THINK i found what the problem is.. i think it has to do something with xbox.com.. like if i'm on my xbox one and ALSO on xbox.com it will show people that i am offline and not on xbox one..? i'm just throwing it out there, not exactly sure
if that REALLY is the case here or not but if it is.. microsoft should definitely come out with a fix.

 

I still think it has to do with adding friends via the One instead of the 360 or Xbox.com. As I said, I have a friend I added on the Xbox One but he does not appear on my 360 Friends list or on Xbox.com. I had thought he might have deleted me until I checked
on my One and found he was still listed as a friend there, even though he does not show as a friend at all on the other platforms. Microsoft needs to do some work to integrate the two platforms better.

I'd try my suggestion to add her through either a 360 or the Xbox web site - it can't hurt to try.
