Discus and support Xbox one not sensing my Ethernet cable. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have a working Ethernet cable plugged into my xbox from my modem and my xbox will not sense that it's there, any way to fix it?...     Xbox one not sensing my Ethernet cable.


    I have a working Ethernet cable plugged into my xbox from my modem and my xbox will not sense that it's there, any way to fix it?

    This is not a feature with Xbox 360 consoles, its exclusively Xbox One.

    There are HDMI+Ethernet cables. I haven't heard about the Xbox One being compatible with this feature though. It would make sense if they did, since it is supposed to interact seamlessly with your cable box. But the older 360s wouldn't be able to utilize this.

    Try doing a hard reset of your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.
    Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

    Network- Ethernet cable suddenly stopped working

    None of these have worked. Ive tried everything, the cable just connect. Why has my ethernet cable just stopped working with the console, it makes no sense. What a awful service microsoft has for xbox. Second faulty xbox one within a year.

    I have the same problem and i resolve using wifi connection and no Ethernet cable.

    I think that all of you have a cable connection.

    With wifi connection Xbox download 360 information, then you are able to download your 360 profile. Try more time if don't start immediatly.

    But if you return to use Ethernet cable the problem come back and is not possible connect your profile to internet.

    This have no sense, the Xbox one is connect, my Xbox 360 use an Ethernet connection and go online with no problem.

    But my 360 profile on Xbox one need only a wifi connection??

    I already explane this thing in this forum, but no one of ms support give me a response.

    After process of elimination i figured out the problem.. Bad ethernet cable. Despite it working for my laptop it wouldnt work with my XBOX as mentioned. So makes no sense why that it would work one way but not the other. None the less that is the issue.

    forgot to say the router is connected to my pc by a cable and the modem in my pc is a NVIDIA nforce 10/100/1000 mbps ethernet if that makes sense to anyone
