Xbox one not sending to TV after streaming

Discus and support Xbox one not sending to TV after streaming in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; streamed a game to laptop for a couple of hours now can't get it to come up on TV.     Xbox one not sending to TV after streaming


    streamed a game to laptop for a couple of hours now can't get it to come up on TV. Logged in to Xbox via laptop and logged off again, turned off laptop, swapped hdmi ports on TV, cables, did hard and soft reboots on Xbox and TV- can still access Xbox normally
    via streaming and TV otherwise working but not getting an signal from the Xbox whatever hdmi port it is in. Seems to have forgotten to send the signal to the HDMI port. Any thoughts, please? Thank you.

    Windows 10 Xbox App and OneGuide TV Streaming from Xbox One OTA

    Hi all, should the Xbox One App be able to stream TV? I'm not on the Xbox Preview programme sadly which searches do reference TV streaming for; but can't find anything on the standard track. Have the latest Xbox App as of this post (8.8.15003.00000) but
    no OneGuide shows. Game Streaming etc works fine but naturally its a bit cumbersome just use a controller just to have TV windowed on my desktop.

    TV Streaming still works fine on the old SmartGlass app, but just wondered if I'm missing something?

    I'm no expert, but I had some trouble a few months back when I hooked up my XB1 to a monitor via DVI. I made a mistake tinkering with the video output settings which are Automatic by default. Try getting onto your system via the stream play and go the the
    video output settings of the console. See if they are set to Automatic. If not, try setting them back to automatic and see if that helps.

    video output settings of the console. See if they are set to Automatic. If not, try setting them back to automatic and see if that helps.

    I'm not really sure if it'll work or not, and if it'll work, I don't know if you'll get a surround sound. Let me explain. Your Xbox One will send the 5.1 audio stream to your TV via the HDMI cable. Then your TV should send the audio stream to your receiver.
    Even if the optical cable support multichannel audio stream, I don't know if your TV can send the input 5.1 stream to your receiver or if it'll downgrade it to stereo.

    Unfortunately, I think you'll have to try to get a definitive answer.

    not 100% sure on this but when streaming on demand it bulk streams as in it sends more info at once to keep a steady stream where as live tv its there and then
