Xbox one not responding to two separate controllers.

So my Xbox one turns on, and I was able to reset the console, and power cycle both controllers, but the console is only responding to the center buttons and no joystick or normal a, y, x, or b. What could my issue be?

I understand you need help with your Xbox problem.

Power cycling the console and resetting it are the things that needs to be done with this problem but if you have done this already and it both controllers are still not working, you may already be having an issue with the Xbox itself.

I would also suggest trying out the controller through wired connection to check if that helps.

If the issue persist, please have the console repaired already.

Most games need to have two separate controllers if you're playing independently of one another, but if it's a turn taking thing I think you can play with the one controller

Again, there will be no way to do this. There are two separate wireless chips, one to connect to internet the other for the controllers, referred to as Wifi Direct.

I tried on a separate phone with the same issue. When I test the remote play on the Xbox everything is green. I've tried with 4 different controllers all the same symptoms. All the buttons work fine up to the point I launch remote play. I've tried Bluetooth and USB, same results. I have two Xbox one s controllers and two plug and play controllers specifically for Android and Xbox verified. The controllers work perfect on the Xbox and PC.

There have been two separate controller updates (maybe 3) do you have a mini/micro usb cable you could use to connect the controller to the xbox ?
