Xbox One not Recommended, took mine back to the store for full refund.

Reasons: -

- Live Service always playing up.

-Promised Dedicated Servers & beg to differ that many if any are.

-Constant Connection Problems for myself & my friends on most games including Halo: Master Chief Collection & Destiny.

-Constant Software Bugs such as UI, Screen flicking on & off, Apps bugging out

. Had to do so many hard resets on the console due to games not starting or hanging while updating/installing.

-Privacy Invasion.

-Free Games not so free, require a credit card added to your account to download them which means accidental unwanted purchases down the road.

-Paying Live Subscription for what? What I get for free on PC, Live went from $60 AUS to $80 with no justification. Buy it off of OZGAMESHOP for way cheaper.

-Proprietary Hardware which climbs the base price of the console & accessories ever so higher, you can't just plug your own headset into the controller, it requires a not so cheap adapter. Battery packs are a rip off, buy good Rechargeable NIMH batteries
for the same price.

-Offer no refunds on digitally purchased content, absolute scam & is against the Australian law.

Fallout 4 preorder

I have a question about pre-ordering fallout on xbox one store. I purchased fallout 4 digital deluxe bundle for preorder and something downloaded. But it only took 3 min. That could not have been the full game. I know I have to wait for the release date.
It took 2 hours to download titanfall. Did the full game download or was it preorder info. If so when can I download the full game??

 

DVD playback on Xbox One have codec problems?

I just called support back and they recommended I send it in for repair or take it back to the store. I have not heard anything from the higher up team. I just they took a very long vacation.

 

We have only had our brand new shiny Xbox one since Xmas day...l to tell you the truth we are starting to feel just like you

 

I am so frustrated. I have just spent the better part of 4 hours trying to sort out an issue I'm having with our new Xbox One. Our family just signed up 3 accounts. One for me (adult), one for my 2 sons (9&10). To cut a long story short, we have redeemed
$50 worth of Xbox currency in the 9 year olds account. We cannot download any games as he is only 9. Originally I thought it was anything above G rated games, but now we can't even download G rated games as it is restricted for teens and children. Not only
this, the currency can't be transferred to my adult account. No one at Xbox will help us or offer to give us our $50 back. I am now going to make a complaint to consumer affairs. Xbox has allowed us to spend $50 but will not allow us to use the $50 to purchase
anything due to the age of the account holder. If this is the case, surely they should not allow child accounts to redeem Xbox currency or at least give you a warning that games will not be allowed to be downloaded due to the age of the account holder. I
would understand if this was an error in the development, but when no one choses to fix the error or reimburse the funds surely it is illegal! I will definitely be taking this further!!!!

 

In relation to this "Offer no refunds on digitally purchased content, absolute scam & is against the Australian law." If you ask for a refund for a faulty product (for example, Halo the Master Chief Collection) then you will get it, because it is against
Australian Consumer Law for them to refuse. However, if you try to get a refund because you changed your mind, didn't like it or bought the wrong product, then it is up to the vendor's discretion as to whether they will allow a refund or not.

It's actually in their terms and conditions: "6.9 Refund policies. Unless otherwise provided by law or by a particular Service offer, all purchases are final and non-refundable."

The part where it says "Unless otherwise provided by law or by a particular Service" essentially means that, if you live in a region where local laws say they are legally obligated to give refunds for faulty products, they will.

Luckily for us, Australia is one of those places.

 

Some fair points, however you should've given it more of a chance.
