Xbox one not recognising my headset

Thank you, I have a wireless Controller with a jack plug port, the headset is a genuine xbox one, I have plugged it in the controller but it fails to recognise it & the other headsets I have tried, my son has 2 xboxes & the headsets don't work on either
controller.

I know this may sound like a dumb question or statement not sure what to call it but my point is have you made sure when you purchased it that it is compatible with xbox? Some headsets are only compatible with different devices like there are some steel
series headsets that only work with the switch or ps4 others may work for all devices. If you have made sure of this and I am sure you have it may be either a problem with the connection and it needs fixed or it is something else entierly of which I sadly
have no extra info to give apart from ask xbox for device support.

But the thing is that the plantronics mix amp, the lx 1, costs upward of 60 dollars aud, literally more that the rig 400 by itself

i bought astro's that have a dedicated mix amp and it works across pc and xbox

When are yoi guys going to admit that the update killed our ability to use third party headsets in the 3.5mm jack. Worked fine for years, you push the update and bam everyone has the same problem. It doesn't take a genius to figure out. Is it about
getting people to spend 50 bucks on the adapter or are you people truly oblivious to the fact that you broke this feature?

We can not admit thing`s we do not know

we are not microsoft employees

we do not push out the updates

We as xbox ambassadors are here as support we are just normal gamers like you

only have a lot of knowladge about xbox issues

We can only do our best to try and help

as ive stated we are not microsoft employees we can neaither confirm or deny any such thing could or couldnt have happened

as noone else has asked this question about there microphone

also you may want to look at the video and links i supplied to the original person as it contains information about different connection`s it has nothing to do with updates it depends on controler and connection you are using on the xbox one controler if
your using an original xbox controler or in the other persons case there surround system

As for us trying to make money we do not get paid for our time here we are voulonteers if you have a direct issue with microsoft i suggest you contact them directly not accuse the ambassadors of being the ones that push out updates we neaither work for or
ever state that we are microsoft employees we are normal day to day gamers helping out one another with issues we have faced our selfs
