Xbox One Not Reading Games (Unique)

Hello all.

The issue is that it's only this brand new game that won't read, all my other games work and even games that aren't installed on my Xbox will read and start installing. I've been trying all day with microsoft support to get one game to read on my xbox, returned
the game, checked all over google without any success.

I just today received my brand new pre-order of Need For Speed Payback, after opening it I stuck it in the Xbox One only for nothing to happen, not even an error message. I tried rebooting, cleaning the disc and even taking the power supply out and the issue
still persisted. So I decided to contact Microsoft Support which ran me through a lot of trouble shooting, after un-installing blu-ray app, clearing persistent storage and clearing the local game saves my disc would still not read and the Microsoft Support
told me that it had to be a faulty game,.

So i took my game to the shop where I pre-ordered it from and they launched the game on an in-store console with no problems.

So now I'm stuck with a £50 brand new game I can't play and I can't get a refund because there's nothing wrong with the copy but at the same time I don't think it's a hardware issue with my Xbox either if it can read and install any other games with no problems??

I don't receive any error messages or anything after inserting the game, it just sounds like it's trying to read and then nothing happens at all. Any help would be appreciated because I don't know what to do.

Xbox one not reading games

So last week my XBONE stopped working all of a sudden (stuck on GSoD) after i got past that, the console stopped reading disks. I can still play KI no problem but now my physical games won't read. The "insert xbox one game" message comes out. Any help? I
really don't want to have to send it in

Will they exchange the disc for you? I’d at least try that.

 

Almost a very simillar problem with me and xbox wants me to pay 200 dollars canadian to get it fixed? My adivce is not to put your faith in microsofts hands as they only want your hard earned money for faulty consoles

 

I can't exchange it because the game worked fine on their console in the store I bought it from when I tried to exchange it. That's what I meant by in my original post when I said I'm stuck with a £50 game that I can't play. It's just odd that my Xbox can
read all my other discs.

 

Yes it's very odd because my Xbox seems to be able to play other discs.. So I don't want to pay X amount of money on repairs to get it back and it still won't read the disc.
