    Xbox One not putting out HDMI signal and controller won't connect.


    This evening when powering on my Xbox One I saw it was not displaying through the HDMI. TV is just displaying the no input message. I also noticed the controller will not connect and just flashes until turning itself off. But the console appears to be running
    and even spools up the fans when i insert a disc. I have tested the tv HDMI ports with my Wii U and both work. I also tested the HDMI cable for my Xbox one and one spare cable with the Wii u as well and both are functional. Attemptd both a soft reboot and
    a full power cycle of the Xbox one. To include unplugging the cable from the console and the power block from the wall prior to leaving devices unplugged for 30 mins. I then powered the device on by holdong the logo button and the eject on the disc drive.
    To be sure it was not my tv that was the problem I also did a factory reset of the television and tested the console on an alternate tv.

    Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot the issue? There has not been any power surges or damage to the console. I really don't want to have to send this in for a repair but I really don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?

    Also what type of connection on you using to connect you xbox to the tv? I know that if you are using HDMI and the console isn't sending the signal out correctly then it won't let any controller connect to the console.

    Xbox One powers up but no signal (HDMI), can't eject disc and controllers won't connect either.

    Xbox One powers up but no signal (HDMI). After first restart, could still connect controller, but then after restart can't even do that. Also cannot eject game disc. Previously was playing, but game froze and I didn't try to restart until now.

    Can't use chat support because first and last name are greyed out and it won't let me connect without first/last name...

    Any help appreciated!

    Hi,

    The answer unfortunately for you is that it can't be done. The HDMI connector on your HP-All-In-One is an
    HDMI out. This means it can only send a video signal out, to another larger display for example. It can't receive an incoming HDMI signal and display it on the monitor.

    You can stream your Xbox One to your Windows 10 computer, but you won't be able to connect your console to this PC with HDMI.

    People have the misconception of HDMI pass through. All this means is that the HDMI signal from your cable box is "passed through" the Xbox one. If your Xbox isn't on, it won't be able to pass the signal through.

    That won't work. Cables do not convert from digital to analog. That cable is for devices that put analog signals over an HDMI connector.

    if you are using hdmi then the controllers will not connect until the tv gets the hd signal from the xbox. my controllers will keep blinking until the tv finds the signal, so the main issue is the lack of signal to the tv, is your hdmi cable plugged in properly?
    mine comes loose from time to time. id the cable faulty? have you maybe plugged it in to the wrong hdmi channel if you have more than one on your tv? I have 3 hd ports on mine and i have often plugged it into port 1 and then try getting signal from port 3.
