    Xbox One not powering TV on and off


    Hello,

    I have a Vizio E550iB2 television. I have been trying to set my xbox up so that the tv will turn on and off with my xbox, However, none of the remote codes work. I have tried ever option in the settings. The toggle function, the on and off function, manually
    entering the codes, and also allowing the Xbox to send a command to the television which never works. Is there some setting that I am missing? Please help.

    Power On / Power Off IR Commands

    This is a feature request for the Xbox One team.

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Setup the Xbox One to send Power commands to TV, Receiver, and Cable Box (when powering on and powering off the console).
    2. Either Power On or Power Off the console.
    Expected Results:

    The Xbox One sends a discrete Power On or Power Off (depending on whether powering on or powering off the console) IR command for each device.

    This ensures that if the devices are powered off, the Xbox One will not turn the devices on while powering off (or vice versa).

    Actual Results:

    The Xbox One sends a single power toggle command for both powering on and powering off to each of the devices. This is sent even if the devices support discrete power on and power off commands.

    This results in unexpected behavior. For instance, when a universal remote such a Logitech Harmony turns all devices off, and the Xbox One will send a toggle power command to each device, immediately turning the devices back on just after they were turned
    off. This occurs in an opposite manner when turning each device on and then the Xbox One (the xbox will send power toggle commands and turn all the devices off just after they were turned on).

    this link     for troubleshooting TV controls. Post back if these do not resolve your issue. Note that without the Kinect the only way to control your TV is with an
    IR blaster     for Xbox One. This includes powering the TV off and on.

    Keep trying the auto commands from the console. I had the same issue as you with my Vizio soundbar but the auto selection option worked for me.

    Have you set the Xbox One to control the power toggle of your TV? If so, it will send a signal to your TV to toggle the power state of the TV. Basically, if your TV is On before turning on your Xbox One then the signal sent to the TV will turn it off. If
    it is Off before turning on your Xbox One, then it will turn On the TV.

    Check the settings to see if this is the case. It should be under Settings -> Power & startup -> Power mode & startup -> TV & A/V power options
