Xbox One not playing newer Blue Rays

When I insert a Blue Ray into the console it is stating that there is no disc in the drive. I remove it and insert it, and I get the same message, every now and again it will decide to play the disc. Why? The disc it is having trpuble playing is Turbo
and The Croods..

Blu Rays not playing!

How come some blu-Ray movies won't play? I know this has been an issue since the xbox one came out. Saying that it's an error on the disc is bs cause I can take it and put it in my blu-Ray player and it works fine.

 

Blu-ray Player - audio sync, volume, unable to play disc, and freezing issues.

Will not play Disney blu rays at all. Works on other blu ray playes but not on xbox one.

 

I watched The Croods last night- No problem. can you try to go into the Blu ray settings on the Xbox One and clear the persistent storage and see if it helps? Here:

I think it's tied to Region Encoding. I did a lot of looking, The XBox One seems to play DVD/Blu-ray that are not region encoded. But any of the newer ones that are encoded to any region seem to give me the no-disk message. My solution... $79 cost-co
blu-ray player so much for XBox "One".

 

Region coding will not cause this problem. The disc will give you a message that you are not playing from the right region if that is the case. All region discs are not a new thing, and the vast majority of Blu-rays are region free

Both of the discs mentioned are DreamWorks titles, which are now distributed by Fox. It's likely they have done a new update to their BD+ copy protection system and the Xbox player has yet to be patched for it. In the meantime, do a hard reboot on the system
by holding the power button for ten seconds and see if that fixes the problem.

 

Same problem here brand new Lego movie Blue Ray won't play in the XboxOne. also Blue rays that played months ago wont play now. i see a quick message that the disc has stopped then is just goes back to the blue ray logo and spinning icon. can still play
game discs with no problem. need to fix this
