Xbox One not playing games

A few months ago, while my Xbox was under warranty, it had a problem with updating and I had to send it in to get fixed. A few months after I got it fixed, it started acting up again. Now my warranty is out, and my Xbox is experiencing a new problem. When
it starts up, the screen goes to static, then the Xbox One logo comes on, and the bottom half isn't visible through the static. After it switches to the screen where I'm logged in, all the static is gone, but I can only start entertainment apps like YouTube
and Netflix. Any time I try to start a game up, it just shows the game art screen (like on Minecraft, the picture of Steve with a pickaxe, not the rotating blurred out Minecraft world). After about two seconds it closes out to the home screen. Does anyone
have any suggestions to fix this problem? I haven't opened my Xbox up yet, but I've done a factory reset, cleared my MAC address, and tried doing the update software fix. I think there's something messed up with the hardware, but I don't want to break the
seal in case there's still some way to send it to Xbox to get it fixed without paying the $200.

XBOX one not playing game?

Just bought the XBOX 1 slim and I got halo reach which is a 360 game and is suppose to work on the one model. It worked once but now it just does the background and looks like its loading then just goes back to the dashboard. I tried re-starting it but
keeps doing it. Something is up since I was able to get to the main menu before on the game. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Xbox One Not Playing Games

My Xbox was not running installed games from the disc so I ejected it and used a air duster to blow out and thing that might be causing a problem and now my system has been working fine since.

By the update software fix do you mean the offline update
support.gtm.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool and if so did you follow every step carefully to ensure it was successfully completed? One missed step and it will not preform correctly.

i would just like to say how disappointed i am with microsoft. i have been an xbox gamer for about six years now and NEVER before have i come across something so ridiculous and shameful as this stupid august update. i have had my fair share of issues with
xbox whether it freezing up on me or certain features being unavailable momentarily, but the core experience which is of course games has never been taken away from me until now. the new update is head butting with my xbox one and the games can't be read.
i have wasted multiple evenings trying to exchange the games, exchange the console, and speaking to xbox support members for hours on end only to have no solution. whoever works these updates at microsoft should be ashamed of themselves and probably should
be fired for putting myself and a bunch of other people through this ordeal. GET THIS FIXED!

going to the forum announcement does fix the issue. Just directs you to a 75 min wait to find out you have to get replacement hardware. Please don't suggest that as an "Answer".

Does it come up with a prompt to install it or show the game is in this disc tray? Have you done the update?

Disconnect From InternetStay Offline And Restart Your Console. Then Cancel Download And Restart The Download Process. It Worked For Me.

Same here. None of my games work, even after install. Killer instinct is a black screen with music. NBA2k14 stays on the loading screen, and Ghost doesn't have a multiplayer option.
