Xbox one not loading MW2

Hi! I was just gifted mw2 from my fiancé digitally. I downloaded and installed the game with all of the packs that came with it. My xbox is fully updated as well as my controller and the game itself. When getting on the game it goes through the loading screen to where it will say “Press A to play” with the Call of Duty logo in the background. When I try pressing A, the game will make a noise like it registers it but won’t allow me to progress any further. I have tried everything under the sun including quitting the game and getting back on, restarting xbox, reset my xbox, unplug plug back in, literally everything i could find on the internet to try. I just would like to know if it’s my xbox one itself or if the game is bugged/glitched!

Hello LonghairDontCare, I see that you have already tried some procedures on the console, due to the type of occurrences we have received from MW2, the issue is in the game as it seems to be buggy and Activision has not yet released corrections for it.

I see you tried some procedures, if you are on a new generation console did you try to reset the console while keeping games and apps?

If you haven't tried it, first remove any games you may have in quick resume and then do a reset keeping games and apps.

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

I understand you need assistance with COD MW2. Just a friendly reminder though, we have been receiving lots of reports with the same issue so it's possible that there is an emerging issue with the game, however, there is no official announcement from Microsoft yet so in the meantime, we need to do troubleshooting steps.

Please follow the steps below to try to fix the issue;

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

If it still doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

i have down loaded mw2.but when i get to one part it freeze up.what must i do to solve this issue.
