Xbox One not loading any games.

Since yesterday, I have been unable to play any games on my Xbox one. I changed to Lego: The hobbit, and it would start to load then the screen went black for about 10 minutes. After this happened, I shut down my Xbox one and let it cool down. When I started
it back up about 15 minutes later, the Game did the same thing, but I got an error message that I did not own the game and I needed to load another game I owned the rights to or it told me to reload my Xbox one. I shut it down again and waited 5 minutes. I
turned it back on and again the same thing happened. It would load the game and then go to a black screen. Never got the error that I do no own the game. I then tried my Assasins Creed 4 disc. It loaded and connected to Uplay. Then it was at the loading
save game data screen, and just hangs there never going past it. I thought it may be my disc drive. I then tried Titan fall, since it was a full download and no disc involved. Titan fall loaded and got to the "signing in" screen. usually takes 5 to 10 seconds
at the most to sign in and drop me into the main menu or lobby, The game hung here showing me the video in the back ground and still trying to sign in. I rebooted the Xbox one again and still had the same issue, no game would load. I even tried Project Spark,
it would show the load screen, and then go blank, never going to the start up animation of the game. I let the console cool down over night. This morning when I tried it, I still have the same issue, no game loads properly. I even tried to uninstall Project
spark and Lego: The hobbit, and when I went into the settings to uninstall the Save data window to the right side showed a spinning Icon like the Xbox one cold not load an info from the hard drive. I could not uninstall any of the game installs that are on
my system. Anyone else having this issue or had it in the past? Anyone know if there is anything else I could try? Any help would be greatly apprciated.

You could try the factory reset using the option to keep your games and apps. Worth a try to hopefully resolve your issue.

My Xbox has started not loading any games, tried hard reset, cache clears and even comtemplated a full factory reset but then I would lose all current content and games on the console.

Any ideas folks?

 

Are you using the "instant on" mode with the console? If so, have you tried doing a hard reset? If you turn the console on and let it boot to the dashboard, then hold the power button on the console for about 8-10 settings, it will shut completely off. Boot
it back up (it will take longer than normal as it's doing a cold boot) and see how it goes from there.

If you've tried that, or if you try it and it doesn't work, then all I can suggest is calling Xbox support. The only other option would be to try a full system reset, although that will mean re-downloading and reinstalling all of your games and content (your
saves are stored in the cloud though, so you shouldn't lose those).

 

Holding down the power button on the console and allowing a full reboot has fixed the issue. I was using the controller to shut down the system each time.

You're welcome mate! I'm glad the solution was simple. At the moment, there seem to be a few OS bugs that rear their ugly heads over time when using the "instant on" mode, so if you ever experience any odd behaviour from the console again, the first thing
to try is a full reboot as that generally fixes things.
