Xbox One not letting set it as my "home system"

I recently changed from my Halo 5 system to the elite XBO, but it won't let me set it as my home system. I did a change or two last year, but seeing as we are 25 days into a new year I don't see why it's limiting me.

Is there any way to clear this out so that I can make my XBO Elite console my new home system?

its been like since i bought it 3 years ago. I would really appreciate any help i can recieve for this, especially since i read of the benefits of setting up a home xbox

You would have to try contacting support to see if there is anything they can do. Keep in mind that there is a limit of 3 changes per year. The year is after your last change, not January 1st. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or

If you only have the one Xbox in the house, it is easy to login on your account go to Settings --> Personalization --> My Home Xbox and set the system to be your Home system. Your Gold/Live account is now shared with anyone that uses that system. So now
you can sign out, let your son sign in and he has Gold access as long as he is using that system.

I have two Xbox systems, one is setup as Home and my kids use that system. The other is in my office and not setup as a Home system but Gold/GamePass/Digital Games all come with two licenses. One attaches to your Gamertag and the other attaches to your
Home Xbox. So I can login with my Gamertag on my office Xbox and enjoy Gold while my kids login on their Xbox (set as My Home Xbox) and enjoy Gold as well, even play games with me. This way I don't have to buy each kid their own Gold subscription.

could you make sure that your profile is set to home xbox.

Select System > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

I have 4 Xbox One systems in my household and utilizing only 2 Gold accounts. My home Xbox is set to my daughter's system and I log onto my system with my account. My daughter gets Gold access on my account because hers is the home system and I get full
access due to logging into my account. The same is true with my Wife's account and my son's Xbox. The home setting does work but you would still need to log into the Gold status account on the second (non-home) Xbox.
