    Xbox One not finding network

I have recently bought an Xbox one and have a home network (d-link dir-615 router) with a password (WPA2 and AES)

My xbox has been detecting all the networks from all our neighbours except for ours.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and if so, how to fix it?

I have tried restarting both xbox and router, and went over the xbox's network settings.

    :)

    Slim not finding network

I actually did a factory reset and it did connect for a minute or two, but would not connect to Xbox Live, so then I went into the xbox settings and reset to factory or whatever and that didn't help so I am just at a loss myself. Thought I did everything
right but I thought wrong. Thanks anyways for trying Shadow! I really appreciate it but I think I am going to buy a Linksys router, think the E3200 would be able to support everything in my house if I centered it in my attic?

Two routers will certainly cause an issue (NAT) unless you connect the Xbox to the first router the one that connects to the modem. I'm amazed! Its a popular router and I thought I would have seen issues with the Slim wireless by now if it was a problem.
Apart from a factory reset of the router (which will put it back to how it was when you first got it, i.e. lose anything you've changed since) I can't think of anything else to try really. :|

Have you checked your Router WPA2 settings? It sounds like the Xbox One is being blocked by your router.

  6. It should just be permissions. For instance, if you look at your settings on your router while your Xbox One is on, it probably comes up as a requesting permission to connect, or is automatically blocked.

As Bimnog said, run cable... But if that's not viable, look at Ethernet Over Power... I use it, as it's a wired connection without all the cable.

There are some things to consider with EoP (Ethernet Over Power)... So be aware.

Can you search for your network by name on the Xone? Try that if you can.

    -

Second step would be using another wireless device to see if it finds your network.

I agree with with mgzin66, see if another wireless device can pick up the network, sounds like the router is not broadcasting the SSID, also check the SSID name, maybe it's not what you think it is.

The router is broadcasting the SSID, as any other device can pick it up wirelessly, and I see the name is fine.

Is the console set-up or are you still in the initial install? When I was first setting up I had loads of problems with the Wi-Fi but they soon went away when the console was up and running.
