Xbox One not detecting USB TV tuner

For no apparent reason my Xbox one has stopped detecting my official USB TV tuner device.

The aerial is fine and the HDMI as well as I have tested them on other TVs. I have also completed a cold reset as well.

Can anyone help?

First brought to Microsoft's attention YEARS ago through this (their own forum) and Microsoft have done absolutely nothing about it...don't hold your breath mate

HI, for not reason at all my USB TV Tuner is no longer working.

I have tried using it in all of the USB ports of my XB1S, I have tried a cold restart with the device disconnected and attempted to go through the set up TV Tuner and it just does not get recognised.

I also tried turning auto detect off and setting to 50Hz, this did not resolve the issue either.

Seems it has only happened since the update of Operating System in relation to the launch of the XB1X.

TV signal is fine, I am even getting program listings but no broadcasting.

Also I am in Australia, can anybody help me please.

 

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue. Started today when it had been working fine.previously.

 

I have exactly the same problem here, it's simply not being detected. One thing as well my Xbox won't turn on with the tuner plugged in, unplug it and it starts up fine.

 

Same problem here. Anyone have a suggestion?

 

I managed to fix mine. What I did was the following:

1. With the Xbox One on, disconnect the USB tuner.

2. With the tuner disconnected, do a full restart

3. Reconnect the tuner, do another full restart

4. In the Oneguide, reselect the USB tuner

 

I am having the exact same problem, asking me to plug it in when it is already plugged in. I have tried the fix above but it didn't work for me. Any suggestions?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Because this thread is a bit older please create a new thread so that we can best help out. If you haven't tried already, please try plugging into a different USB port to see if there is any change in connection.
