XBOX One not detecting / reading discs?

Hi all, my XBOX One does not detect any disc that I put in (never did), the discs go in but the drive won't spin and nothing shows up on screen just as if there's no disc at all inside. I've troubleshooted it but nothing helped so I requested a repair and
now I have to wait for the shipping kit, send it in and wait for it to be fixed and be returned to me. I bought it at Walmart but it was the only one left so I can't exchange it there, they're not getting new ones anytime soon and other stores are too far
away.

I wanted to play Forza 5 or DR3 but no luck. Am I the only one that had such odd symptoms with the BD drive?

How come Microsoft is not acknowledging the "no disc" problems?

I have the same problem with my XBOX One not detecting or reading discs, I guess your best option at this point is to exchange it at the store you bought it from if you just bought it recently unless you bought it online or make a request to send it in for
repair.

 

CD Drive Noise?

You'll never have a 100% silent disc drive when it is reading data from the disc. As long as it is still reading/detecting the disc fine and not a loud grinding noise, I wouldn't worry about it.

Hmm, a clicking noise...could be the hard drive.

 

Your not alone with this problem, why couldn't walmart get you a replacement from one of there other stores, you shouldn't have to go running around anyway hope it works out for you.

 

Supply is too short / not in stores near area.

As much as I wanted to play earlier, I'll have to wait.

Same problem here.... It seems like a software problem to me. Sometimes don't even hear the disc spin up....
