    Have you tried connecting it to a different tv as well? Some TV's aren't compatible I have noticed with my xbox. (but that is mostly with older televisions)

    Because it's a newer model xbox. Older ones need to ssee if the new disks that they will use will be compatible with older models.

    I have the same problem, my remote is the new sleek black, it works on the tv and my sleek black xbox, but not on my wife's 60 GB white xbox, is it just not compatible with the older xboxes?

    Yes, if your TV can display 720p like you stated, your Xbox will be perfectly fine running 720p. It won't downscale to 480p. There are no problems regarding any resolutions that I'm aware of.

    just set my Xbox 360 and PS3 at 720p as advised in a review I read when I bought the TV.

    I will probably buy one of the consoles soon, then. Thanks for your advice.
