  1. Xbox one not accepting Microsoft password

My xbox live account has the same email and password as my Microsoft account. Today I started up my xbox and it didn't auto sign-in. I got to the log-in screen and put in my password. I pressed enter. It didn't log me in, and at first I thought I put in
the wrong password. After a couple of correct password tries, I realized it kicked me out of the log-in screen without an error message. I tried restarting my xbox. It DID auto sign in, but the network disconnected. So I put in the information for the wireless
internet. It said it worked, but it won't allow me to use the internet. It says it's connected, but it won't let me use it. So I turned off my xbox and turned it back on again (not restart) and it connected to the internet but had the same sign in issue as
    earlier! Please help.

    :)

    xbox not accepting new password

I've changed my password as a result of possible hacks recently. I'm now signed onto xbox.com. However, when my xbox asked for my new account details it's saying that my email/password is wrong. I've faithfully used the correct password; I've changed
the password again, if that was a problem. And still not accepting the details. Getting a touch annoyed.

How to password protect your Xbox LIVE profile

    Xbox LIVE password overview

It is possible to download your Xbox LIVE profile to several different consoles. You may need to do this if you have more than one Xbox 360 console, or you want to play games at a friend's house. In such a situation, you may want to password protect your Xbox LIVE account so that no one else can sign in using your profile.

Set the console to remember your password

Once you have downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile to a console, you will be asked if you want the console to remember your password. The Remember Password option is usually off by default. This means that you will be asked for your Microsoft account password every time you sign into Xbox LIVE.

If you don't want to be asked for your Microsoft account password every time you sign into Xbox LIVE, select the Remember Password option.

Change the password protection on your profile

You are required to set the Remember Password option after you download your Xbox LIVE profile. However, you can change the password protection on your Xbox LIVE profile any time.

If you don't need a password to sign in:

Sign into your Xbox LIVE profile. After you have entered your Microsoft account password, select the Remember Password option.

If you choose the Remember Password option, you will not be asked for your Microsoft account password the next time you sign into your Xbox LIVE profile.

If you need a password to sign in:

You can restrict access to your Xbox LIVE profile on any console using your Microsoft account password.

    Steps to follow

    1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    2) Under Settings, select Account and then Account Security

    3) Choose the option for Password at Sign In.

    4) Select Require Password Here

You will be asked for your Microsoft account password the next time you sign into your Xbox LIVE profile.

How to password protect your Xbox LIVE profile remotely

If you downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile to another console and it is not password protected, or someone has compromised your password, you can change the password from a remote location so that no one else can access your profile.

    Change your Microsoft account

    1) Sign into accounts.live.com using your Microsoft account.

    2) Go to Account Information and, next to Password, click Change.

You can also use your console to change your Microsoft account password.

Note: If the Xbox LIVE profile you downloaded does not require a password to sign in (You selected the Remember Password option), you will not be able to restrict someone from signing into your Xbox profile even if you change your Microsoft account password.

You can remove your Microsoft account password so that other people cannot access your Xbox profile on other consoles. This will ensure that a password is required before signing into your Xbox profile.

Remotely set a profile password from a computer:

    1) Sign into your Xbox LIVE account.

    2) Under Settings, select Account, and then Account Security

    3) Choose the option for Password at Sign In.

    4) Select On All Other Consoles.

Once you have done this, a password will be required to sign into your Xbox LIVE profile on all other consoles.

    I suggest you
    change your password
right now, and then see if the new password works on your Xbox.

Changing the password is always the best first step if you notice something strange happening, account-wise.

If you're still having trouble, then I'm guessing next that your Xbox
    could be having issues
connecting to the Xbox Live sign-in servers. Follow the trouble-shooter article and see if that helps.

  5. I changed my password. Still didn't work. I tried logging on with a different account and that did work. The thing is all my saves are on my other account so I still need to access it. Also, my computer uses the same Microsoft account as my xbox, and my
computer can sign in no problem.

Xbox password and payment option problem

Thank you for reaching out. The password for one's mocrosoft account and xbox are the same.

I don't want to change my microsoft password as it's also neede for other services like skype.

And the problem is not with my microsoft password. I have logged on and added the payment option to my microsoft profile.

The problem is that the card details do not appear on my xbox, so it's a glitch on microsoft's end. As is the fact that a correct password is not accepted on xbox. And an even bigger problem is that the microsoft muppets do not offer telephone support for this problem.

Stopped connecting to my wireless network

I changed my SSID and password, and the Xbox One wouldn't accept the new SSID and password until I cleared MAC address and rebooted the Xbox One.
