Xbox one not able to 'Add Account' - error 0x801901f4

Hi guys,

Really hope somebody can help me with this as I've been struggling with it for 3 days now.

We bought a brand new Xbox one just last week but from the very start it wouldn't 'Add Account'. It just goes to a gray screen and spinning wheels for a few seconds and then comes back to the same place without any progress. I've done ALL the things recommended
on the forums, including factory/hard resets and even changing settings on my router in case it's the cause. No luck. The Xbox is working in every other way. No problem with network/internet..etc. The ONLY issue is that you can add an account or do anything
with the account, which makes it impossible to play any games!

Eventually, I was able to connect my microsoft account remotely through my laptop, but the console still asks me to login to my account and when I try, the same gray screen and then the error code 0x801901f4. I've done hours of online search for this code
and how to fix it, but there doesn't seem to be anything that works.

The ONLY way the console has worked up to now is when I do a hard reset and then do the setup through my ipad. Then sometimes, it is automatically recognizing my account and I am able to connect to it. BUT this only work for a short while. Any time after
that when I have to connect to the account again, it won't do it. Same error, same problem.

Please let me know how we can sort this out. I am almost at the point of returning the box to the store and giving up on Xbox completely.

Additional info:

- I'm based in Cyprus which is not listed in the Xbox countries. I was told (after searching for many hours) that since Cyprus is in Europe, I need to connect to the United Kingdom. That works now for my account, but it really would have been nice if Microsoft
put that info for users to be aware of. The statement currently on the 'Country/Region' page says "If your country is not listed here, we hope to have it soon. Please check back." That is vague and misleading.

- The Country/Region issue may be at the bottom of my problem. But again there is no explanation or guidance on how to resolve it. I've talked with the store where I bought the box from and they are also puzzled.
